Message from the Director

Welcome to Maury County Public Schools. Our mission is that we will provide the educational instruction, tools, and environment for every child to succeed in LIFE as Life-long Learners, Independent Thinkers, Fearless Innovators and Exemplary Citizens and our vision is educating every child for LIFE! A community is known by the schools that it keeps. Maury County Public Schools has a reputation for excellence and our students are celebrated for their achievements. We serve approximately 12,000 kindergarten through twelfth grade students and operate 17 traditional elementary, middle and high schools; three K-12 unit schools, one non-traditional high school; and one alternative school in our county.
In an era of great global change, we face the challenge of preparing today’s students for an unknown and uncertain future. Today’s kindergarten students will pursue careers that have yet to be imagined. This is also a time of great financial challenges, both for our schools and our families. However, I know that if we commit to excellence, our children and young people will respond in kind. Our commitment to Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) guides teachers to collaborate, share best practices, review data and discuss strategies to help maximize student learning. In the end, student learning depends first, last and always on the quality of teachers, administrators, and support staff in our schools; our children deserve no less than our very best every single day.
Individual school websites are on the main navigation. You can also find us on Facebook and Twitterwhere we post announcements and achievements. Our e-newsletters will give you more specific information about what is taking place with Maury County Public Schools and ways that you can be involved!
As both a parent and educator, I know that we hold the future of our community for the next generation. Involved parents and community members are vital to the success of our schools, and I am proud to be a part of a school community where education is valued. I appreciate your support as we continue to secure a bright future for the children and communities that we serve.
I encourage you to please contact us if we can be of service in any way.
Sincerely,
Chris Marczak, Ed.D.

Technology Survey

Many school districts across the nation will be receiving Federal Grant money from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, also known as the CARES Act. The CARES Act is a law intended to address the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States.  MCPS would like to make sure we use any money effectively when it comes to technology.

We need your help!

Below is a link to a short survey. By completing the survey, it will help us with decisions around funding for items like Distance Learning and Computer Device needs. Please complete the survey once for EVERY student in your household. For example, if you have 3 students we ask that you fill out the form 3 times.

Thank you for your help and for taking a few minutes to complete this important survey.

online safety tips

This is a graphic of a firefighter.
   Be Safe, Rockets.
A fire can breakout with little or no warning.  The more prepared you are, the safer you will be.   Once you evacuate due to a fire, NEVER go back inside a burning building.  Once out, stay out.  Firefighters will rescue anyone who needs help.  (This message is displayed on behalf of the TN Department of Education, Office of Healthy, Safe, and Supportive Schools.)
