Welcome to the Marvin Wright Elementary School's Parent Teacher Association (PTA) page! Our PTA has created this page to keep our Rocket families informed of all the awesome things happening at Marvin Wright Elementary. Our PTA is a volunteer-based and dedicated group of parents, teachers, and administrators who work together to provide resources and programs to all families in our school community. Our goal is to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

What is the PTA?
PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association, and that’s exactly what it is. Our Marvin Wright PTA is a unit of the National PTA organization which puts us in the company of millions of other concerned parents, teachers, and school staff across the country. The National PTA’s vision is one we strive to bring to life in our local community of Spring Hill: “Making every child’s potential a reality.” We believe we can best achieve this vision by supporting our MWES teachers, administrators, and staff. The PTA addresses issues that are important to parents and school administrators, it links families to important school and community information. The PTA hosts fun, educational clubs, programs and events for our families and raises money to support the specific needs of our school. The PTA also tracks local, state, and national policies every day so we can advocate for what's best for our students, families and schools. The PTA focuses on what students need to be successful and works with schools to ensure that our children succeed. Go to for more information.

Volunteering to assist teachers, staff and students at Marvin Wright is a major function of the MWES PTA! It takes a multitude of volunteers who are gifted in many areas to make our programs and events, as well as the services we provide to our teachers and students, run smoothly. As of now we are operating as usual, however, with COVID-19, some volunteer opportunities could be postponed, changed, or cancelled completely. We are optimistic that we will continue to operate as usual the whole year though, so please sign up today in areas that interest you, and our PTA Board Members will be in touch with you! Thank you for supporting our Marvin Wright Family!

Membership is Easy
Being a member of PTA means that you are an integral part of a program that is focused on strengthening your child's education and building an inclusive school community. Your $5.00 membership dues support programs for teachers and students to help ensure the best possible education for our kids. Members are not required to volunteer at events or attend PTA meetings, and membership forms are available in the office.  The class with the most memberships by December 10th will earn a pizza party!
